Tyres & wheels
From a 13″ trailer tyre to a 46″ earthmover. We fit, balance and align in Torrington, and we will tell you straight which tyre the way you drive actually calls for.
What we fit
Most shops stop at the family car. We carry the sizes either side of it, so the ute, the van, the boat trailer and the machine in the back paddock all get sorted in the one yard.
The daily driver, the school run and the highway kilometres. Quiet, long wearing rubber that holds on when the road is wet.
Gravel through the week and the Downs tracks on the weekend. Sized so it clears, rated so it lasts, balanced so it does not shake at a hundred.
Work vehicles that carry weight every day. Load ratings matched to what you actually cart, not what the sticker assumes.
The tyres nobody thinks about until they are on the shoulder of the Warrego. We check the age, the rating and the spare before you leave.
Trucks, trailers, tractors, bobcats and earthmovers up to 46″. Fitted here, or out at the yard if the machine cannot travel.
Alloys and steels on display in the showroom. Bring the vehicle in and see the wheel against it before you commit to anything.
The range
Falken flagship dealer with the full ladder underneath it. Tell us how you drive and we will point you at the honest answer.
Flagship dealer
The quiet ride, the wet grip and the long wear. Stocked deep, priced properly, and the first place the good rebates land. If you want one recommendation and no debate, this is it.
Everyday value
The daily driver racking up kilometres, and 4WDs that see gravel on the weekend. Where the money goes furthest without the wear life falling off a cliff.
Heavy & commercial
Trucks, trailers, tractors and earthmovers. Casings picked for the run you actually do rather than whatever was on the shelf that week.
Also on the shelf
The odds and ends that keep a job in the one yard instead of sending you across town for a rim or a trailer tyre.
On the quote
No fitting fee that appears at the counter, no disposal charge nobody mentioned. All six of these are in the number we give you before we touch the car.
Fitting & balancing
Machine fitted and computer balanced, so it does not shake at a hundred on the range.
New valve stems
Replaced with the tyre every time. They perish, and a new set of rubber on a ten year old valve is asking for it.
Torqued to spec
Wheel nuts done to the manufacturer figure with a torque wrench, not a rattle gun and a guess.
Old tyre disposal
The casings stay with us and are dealt with properly. No line item for it at the counter.
Pressures & the spare
Set to the placard before you leave, and we check the spare while we are there rather than after you have found it flat.
A written quote first
You see the total before we start. Anything we find along the way gets a phone call, never a surprise.
Rebates included
If there is a brand cashback or fuel card deal running on the tyre you have picked, it comes off this quote. You do not have to know about it or ask for it.
How much is left
Put a twenty cent coin in the groove. If the tread does not reach the platypus bill you are near the limit. Or drive in and we will measure all four and the spare, no charge and no obligation.
7 mm
Where a passenger tyre starts. Nothing to think about beyond keeping the pressures right and getting them rotated.
Drive on
3 mm
Still legal, but this is where stopping distances in the wet start to stretch out. Worth pricing a set now rather than in a hurry later.
Get a quote
1.5 mm
The legal minimum anywhere in Australia, measured across the wear indicator. Below it the tyre is unroadworthy and the car will not pass a Queensland safety certificate inspection.
Unroadworthy
It is rarely all four
One shoulder gone while the rest of the tread is fine is an alignment problem, not a tyre problem. We will say so rather than sell you rubber that will wear out the same way.
10,000kmIs all it takes to chew an edge
Wheel alignment
A set can be chewed out on one edge inside ten thousand kilometres if the camber or the toe is out. Our computerised rack puts the numbers back where the manufacturer wanted them, and we show you the printout either way.
Worth booking if
You have hit a solid pothole or a kerb, the wheel sits off centre on a straight road, the car wanders, or one edge of a tyre is wearing faster than the rest.
Good questions
The six we get asked at the counter most weeks. If yours is not here, ring the yard and ask George.
Most cars and utes are in and out inside the hour once we start, and you are welcome to wait. Add an alignment and it is closer to ninety minutes. Trucks and machinery depend on the size, so ring through and we will give you a real answer rather than a guess.
Not for a puncture repair or a pressure check, just come in. For a set of tyres, ringing ahead means we have your size on the shelf when you arrive instead of ordering it in front of you.
Almost always. We hold the common sizes deep and bring the rest in, usually within a day or two. If it is a size that is genuinely hard to get, we will tell you up front what the wait looks like.
If the damage is in the tread and the tyre still has decent life on it, a proper plug and patch from the inside is a safe repair. Sidewall damage is not repairable at any price, and we will not pretend otherwise.
We stock a genuine budget rung and we are happy to fit it. What we will also do is tell you whether it suits how you actually drive. If you do fifty thousand kilometres a year on the highway, the cheap set costs you more by the end of it.
Yes, and we do it without being asked. Brands run cashbacks and fuel card deals through the year and most shops never mention them. We track what is live and put it on your quote.
Drop the rego in and we will match the size, then price it value to premium with the honest version of what each rung gets you. No pressure, no upsell you did not ask for.
