Steer axle
The two you feel through the wheel. Steer tyres go on the shoulders first, and they are the pair that decides whether the truck tracks straight or fights you all the way to Dalby.
Shoulders first
Truck, ag & mobile
Trucks, trailers, tractors and earthmovers up to 46″. Our service truck heads out to the paddock, the yard or the roadside, and the machine keeps working the same day where we can.
Where we go
Not sure whether you are inside the run? Ring the yard and you will get a yes or a no on the call, not a form to fill in.
Position by position
Where a tyre sits on the rig decides how it goes. We look at the whole set, not just the hole that stopped you.
The two you feel through the wheel. Steer tyres go on the shoulders first, and they are the pair that decides whether the truck tracks straight or fights you all the way to Dalby.
Shoulders first
Where the power goes down, so they wear through the centre and they wear fastest. They are also the position most likely to be running a mismatched pair without anyone having noticed.
Centre first
The ones nobody walks around and looks at. Trailer tyres take irregular wear from alignment and from how the load sits, and they are a common reason for a call out.

What we look after
Torrington sits at the gateway to the west, so a fair share of our work is on machinery that earns its keep. Downtime is the expensive part, and that is what we are actually solving.
Rigids, semis, dogs and tippers. Steer, drive and trailer positions, with the right casing for the run you are doing rather than whatever was on the shelf that week.
Tractors, headers, chaser bins and implements. We know the difference a properly matched ag tyre makes to compaction and to the fuel bill, and harvest is not the week to be guessing.
Bobcats, loaders, excavators, graders and rollers. Solid, foam fill and air, sized for the site you are standing on and how rough it is going to get.
One number for the whole fleet. We keep track of what is fitted to what, so the next set is a phone call rather than someone walking your yard with a notepad.
The call out
No booking reference, no portal login. Someone answers the phone, works out the size from what you can see, and loads the right tyre before they leave the yard.
The machine, the location and whatever is written on the sidewall. A photo of the tyre and the wheel helps if you can send one.
The right tyre goes on the service truck with the gear to fit it, so it is one trip out to you rather than three.
Changed over on the spot, pressures set and the old casing taken away with us. You get back to work.
Service area
Torrington, Toowoomba and out across the Darling Downs. If you are not sure whether we reach you, ring it through and we will tell you straight away.
Down and losing money?
Breakdowns jump the queue. Tell us the machine and where it is sitting and we will tell you honestly how soon we can be there.

Half our work heads west of town. The point of the service truck is one trip, so it is loaded to complete the job where the machine is standing rather than come back tomorrow with the thing it needed.
01
Your tyre, already on board
Worked out from the size, the machine and the run before anyone turns a key. That is why we ask the questions on the phone.
02
Gear for up to 46″
Bead breakers, cage, compressor and the muscle to handle earthmover rubber in a paddock.
03
A spare casing where it is sensible
On fleet and harvest work we will carry the likely second one rather than gamble on it being a single.
04
Room for the old one
The casing comes back with us and gets dealt with properly. Disposal is part of the job, not a line at the end.

Or bring it in
The yard at 78 Carrington Road is built for big gear. Easy in, easy out, and enough room to swing a van or a truck and dog without a three point turn on the highway.
Getting here
78 Carrington Road, Torrington, on the western edge of Toowoomba. Open 7:45am weekdays and 7:30am Saturday.
Good questions
It depends on where you are and what is already booked, and anyone who gives you a flat answer without asking those two things is guessing. Ring the yard, tell us the machine and the location, and you will get a straight answer on the phone.
Ring and ask. We will always tell you what we can do rather than leave you hanging, and if we cannot get there we will say so on the call.
The size off the sidewall if it is readable, the make and model of the machine, and the location. A photo of the tyre and the wheel saves everyone a trip.
Yes. We will work out a schedule that suits your run times rather than ours, and keep records of what is fitted to each vehicle so the next round is straightforward.
We do. Disposal is part of the job, whether we fit it here or at your place.
If it can be safely repaired we will repair it, because that is cheaper for you and it keeps the casing in service. Sidewall damage and anything that has been run flat is a replacement, and we will show you why.
Send it through and we will match the size and the right casing for the run you are doing. No plate on the machine, or it is off the road right now? Ring the yard instead and we will get moving.
