The hardstand yard at Charlton Tyre Service, with room to turn a truck and trailer

Fleet accounts

One number for
the whole yard.

Utes, trucks, trailers, tractors and plant on one account, with the records kept here so the next changeover is a phone call instead of someone walking the yard with a notepad.

  • Records kept per vehicleWe know what is fitted to what
  • Breakdowns jump the queueA truck down is the expensive one
  • Fitted here or on siteThe machine does not have to travel

Who it suits

If you run more than a couple of vehicles.

There is no minimum and no contract. If you are ringing us about a different vehicle every few weeks, an account will save you time.

Trades & service vans

Utes and vans that are on the road every day and cannot sit waiting. Load ratings matched to what the vehicle actually carries with the racks and the gear in it.

Transport & haulage

Rigids, semis, dogs and tippers. Steer, drive and trailer positions with casings picked for the run you actually do rather than for whatever was in stock.

Farms & ag

Tractors, headers, chaser bins, implements and the farm utes alongside them. Harvest does not wait, and the truck comes out to the property.

Civil & earthmoving

Bobcats, loaders, excavators, graders and rollers, up to 46″. Solid, foam fill and air, fitted on site so the machine stays where it is working.

Hire & council

Mixed yards where nothing matches anything else. One place that already knows the sizes across the whole lot rather than three suppliers who each know a third of it.

Servicing as well

The light vehicles in the fleet can be serviced here too, logbooks stamped, so the whole yard runs off one relationship instead of two.

On the account

The tyre is not the expensive part. The stopped truck is.

Everything below is built around getting the vehicle back to work, because a day of downtime costs more than the difference between a good casing and a cheap one.

Fleet pricing

Rates set across the account rather than quoted vehicle by vehicle, so nobody has to negotiate every time a tyre needs replacing.

Records kept per vehicle

What is fitted to what, and when. The next set is a phone call with a rego rather than someone crawling around a wheel arch reading sidewalls.

Scheduled changeovers

Planned in around your work instead of happening the morning something fails. Quieter weeks are cheaper weeks to be off the road.

Breakdowns get priority

A vehicle stopped on the account goes to the front. That is the point of having one.

On site fitting

The service truck comes to the yard, the paddock or the job site, so the machine does not have to be floated into town for a tyre.

One point of contact

You deal with the people who run the place. There is no account manager three states away and no ticket number.

Setting one up

Ring the yard or send the form through with roughly what you run. We will work out what makes sense for your operation and put it in writing before anything starts.

How it runs

Set it up once, then just ring.

Most of the work is at the start. After that it is a phone call with a rego and a location, which is exactly how it should be.

Tell us what you run

Roughly what is in the yard and where it works. A rough list is plenty to start the conversation, we do not need a spreadsheet.

We walk the yard

Sizes and current condition recorded across the fleet, so we know what is on each vehicle and roughly how much life is left in it.

Pricing in writing

Rates across the account, agreed before anything is fitted. No contract to sign and no minimum spend to hit.

Then it is one phone call

Rego and location. We already know the size, and the right tyre is on the truck before it leaves the yard.

Why here

Independent, local, and answerable to you.

We have been on the same corner at Torrington since 1970. No head office setting the price. If something goes wrong, the person who can fix it is on site.

  • Independently owned and run
  • Hardstand with room to turn a truck
  • Sizes to 46″ fitted in the shed
  • Mobile service truck across the Downs
  • Mechanical workshop on the same site
  • Deal with the decision makers

Good questions

Before you
open one.

If it is not here, ring the yard. Anything about terms is a conversation rather than a web page.

How many vehicles do I need?

There is no set number. If you are ringing us about a different vehicle every few weeks, having the sizes already on file will save you time. A couple of utes and a trailer is enough to be worth it.

Do I have to sign anything?

No contract and no minimum spend. The pricing goes in writing so everyone knows where they stand, and you are free to use us for as much or as little as suits.

Can you come to us?

Yes. The service truck works out of Torrington across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. For anything that cannot travel, on site is usually the sensible option rather than floating a machine into town.

What about after hours?

Ring and ask. We would rather have that conversation with you honestly than advertise a twenty four hour service and let you down at two in the morning.

Can you service the light vehicles too?

Yes. The mechanical workshop is on the same site, so the utes and vans can be serviced and stamped here alongside the tyre work rather than going somewhere else.

Do you keep a record of what is fitted?

That is the main thing an account gets you. We keep the sizes and the history per vehicle, so ordering the next set is a rego and a phone call rather than a trip out to read a sidewall.

Tell us what is in the yard.

A rough list is enough to start. We will come back with pricing across the fleet and a plan for the changeovers that are already overdue.
